The second annual Whitman’s® Sampler® Mile High Classic returns to the Rockies on Saturday, March 16 with a festive day of lacrosse excitement. Three pre-season Top 10 teams, including the reigning NCAA champions, headline a lineup with both national and local flair at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
The event begins with upset-minded Air Force taking on the Loyola Greyhounds, who return nearly all of the talent that brought home their first NCAA title in 2012. The featured match-up includes two teams with championship aspirations of their own in 2013, as Notre Dame battles the hometown Denver Pioneers. Both teams will be hungry to establish themselves as a contender with a key early-season victory.

Inside Lacrosse is proud to bring the best of the college game out West to Denver’s Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Due to security measures, we strongly urge all guests to arrive at the stadium as early as possible to avoid entrance delays. Re-entry into the Mile High Classic is permitted with stamp and ticket stub at GATE 10. If medication is required, be sure to have it with you upon entry. All guests entering the stadium are subject to search. Refusal to comply may be grounds to prohibit admission. Guests will not be permitted to enter the stadium if they are visibly intoxicated.
Sports Authority Field at Mile High is located in downtown Denver at the intersection of I-25 and Colfax Avenue. To drive to Sports Authority Field at Mile High:
From the South: from I-25 northbound, exit at 17th Avenue.
From the North: from I-25 southbound, exit at Colfax Avenue, then exit at Federal Blvd north bound. Turn right at the first light (Dick Connor Avenue).
From the East (airport): from Denver International Airport, take I-70 west to I-25 southbound. Exit at Colfax Avenue, then exit at Federal Blvd north bound. Turn right at the first light (Dick Connor Avenue).

The first game features the defending national champion Greyhounds against the upset-minded Falcons in an ECAC league match-up. Loyola returns the bulk of its scoring from its potent offense, including All-America attackman Mike Sawyer. Air Force hopes to continue its climb up the rankings. The Falcons are paced by sophomore attackman Keith Dreyer.

Credentials are issued to accredited members of the working media only. Requests for credentials for the Mile High Classic should be made via mail, phone or email to Danielle Bernstein (dbernstein@insidelacrosse.com) at Inside Lacrosse by March 14, 2013.
Should space become a problem, preference will be given to the primary media outlets of each school, and then in order of when requests were received.
Requests received by March 8 will be mailed out prior to the event. Requests received after March 8 will be held in Will Call at the stadium. Credentials may be picked up at the Media Will Call on the north side of Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Media Will Call will open at 2:30 p.m. on game day, March 16.
Broadcast booths are available for appropriate radio outlets. A line set-up charge for Sports Authority Field will apply. Credential requests for radio staff should be submitted along with the request for the phone lines.).
